RULES OF THE SCHOOL
- Students are expected to behave in a disciplined and responsible manner at all time.
- Students are answerable to the authority for their misbehavior both inside and outside the school.
- Students should greet each other, staff members and guests politely and with due respect.
- Students should be in the school before the warning bell.
- All students should report to the school on the re-opening day of each term without fail.
- Students should abide by the standards of discipline set by the school.
- Students should use only English while conversing inside school campus.
- Students should develop the habit of regularity, punctuality and orderliness in all school work.
- Students are expected to be polite to one and all- both on and off the campus.
- Rubbish and waste material should be dumped in the dustbins provided on each floor and in every classroom.
- Chewing gums and any similar materials are not allowed in school
- Students are not permitted to wear or bring any valuable articles to the school.
- No student will be allowed to leave the school premises during school hours unless guardians / parents come and take wards with a written permission from the principal.
- Furniture and instruments are assets of the school and it is the responsibility of every student to ensure that no damage is done to them.
- Students should maintain proper discipline in the buses while commuting between school and home.
GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS
- Parents are welcome to come and meet the respective class/subject teachers to evaluate the academic and co-curricular progress of their ward on the last Saturday of each month. Parents would not be entertained on any other day of the month unless there is some emergency or authentic reason.
- The school expects maximum co-operation of the parents in order to ensure regularity and discipline of their ward inside and outside of the campus.
- Parents are expected to sign the remarks of the principal/teachers in the report card and Student’s Diary whenever required. Please consult the communicator for all matters related to school.
- No leave of absence will be granted to students without a written application signed by the parents and it will be granted only for authentic reasons. In case of illness a medical certificate should be produced.
- Ensure your child comes to school in the prescribed school uniform with combed hair, pruned nails and polished shoes.
- Kindly provide all necessary books and stationery to your ward. Children with contagious diseases and infections should not be sent to school till they are fully cured. Please ensure that while reporting back he/she brings a medical fitness certificate.
- Kindly attend the open house sessions on the specified dates mentioned in the school calendar. Answer sheets once shown will not be shown on any other day unless permission is taken in advance.
- Any change in the residential address should be notified to the school authorities early as possible.

EXAMINATION & PROMOTIONS POLICIES
PROMOTION POLICY
Promotion of class IX students will be based on annual examination and internal assessment.
ANNUAL EXAMINATION
There will be annual examination of 80 marks for each subject. To be declared pass, a student has to secure 33 % marks out of 80 in each subject. The examination will cover 100 % of the syllabus of class IX.
INTERNAL ASSESSMENT
A student has to secure 33 % marks out of 20 marks in each subject. The details of computation of marks in internal assessment are given below.
INTERNAL ASSESSMENT (20 Marks)

• Pen & Paper test of 40 marks for main subjects.
Multiple Assessment (5 Marks) This will cover:
• Oral tests, individual or group work, class discussion, field-work, concept maps, visual representation, quizzes, project-work and observation etc.

(5 Marks) This will cover:
• Organization- Neatness, creativity and visual appeal
• Completion of guided work focused on specific curricular objectives
• Evidences of students growth
• Inclusion of all relevant work (completeness)

In order to be declared pass, a child must score an aggregate of 33%.
COMPARTMENT EXAMINATION
• Candidate offering 5 subjects and failing in one of the five subjects of external examination shall be placed in compartment.
• In case a child fails in one subject, he/she is allowed to appear for a compartment exam in that subject at a gap of minimum 15 days between the declaration of result and the conduction of Re-exam.
• In order to be declared “Successful” in Compartment Examination, a student must secure at least 33% marks in the subject(s) in which he/she has taken the compartment examination, provided that a minimum of 33 out of 100 marks must be secured in total i.e. marks of Compartment Examination plus marks of internal Assessment. A child will be detained in the same class if he/she does not secure 33% in the compartment examination.
• If student fails to secure 33% in any one subject he/she will appear in compartment examination at gap of minimum 15 day between the declaration of result and conduction of compartment examination. In case a student fails to secure 33% in the compartment examination then he/she will be detained in same class.
POLICY REGARDING ABSENTEES IN ANY EXAMINATION
1. Appearing in periodic test, unit test, half yearly examination and final examination is mandatory. No examination will be conducted either before or after the scheduled date and time. A student absent for any examination without any substantial reason will be marked absent for the examination. A minimum of 75 % attendance is mandatory to appear in the final examination.
2. If a student has not appeared in an examination without any genuine reason and has not submitted her/his leave application, she/he will be marked absent and will be awarded a ZERO.

If a student does not appear in any of the examinations because of medical reasons (subject to submission of an application along with relevant medical documents/certificate) of due to representing the school in inter-School competitions, average marks will be considered during computation of Annual Results.

- The school fees can be paid on yearly / half yearly basis.

- Parents will be informed well in advance about any change in the fee structure and modes of payment
ATTENDANCE
- Leave for more than 2 days will be granted only on written application from the parent / guardians.
- In case of sick leave note should be supported by medical certificate.
- If student continues to be absent for 10 days without the written permission of the Principal, his/her name will be struck off the rolls.

- Attendance before and after a short break/vacation is compulsory.
- Half day leaved or permission for leaving early will not be granted during exams or on any regular day.
SCHOOL LEAVING CERTIFICATE(S.L.C)
- Parents should apply for an School L.C. one month before the withdrawal.
- The School L.C. will be issued only after full dues of the school have been paid.
- Application for the School L.C. is attached at the end of the Diary.
- Application is to be filled and submitted to school office one month advance before the academic year ends.
- If students leave in middle of session, he/she will have to pay the fees for the month he/she last attend the classes.
- School L.C. will be furnished only after two weeks and payment of all dues.
ACADEMICS
REMEDIAL :-The vision behind it is to give one on one attention to needy students and bring up their level.
USE OF ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO IN CAMPUS
- 1st attempt – Suspension of 3 to 8 days
- 2nd attempt – Dismissal (L.C.)
LEAVE POLICY
Send a proper note duly signed in the handbook to the class teacher at least before 3 days, if your child requires a leave. In case of emergency if a leave note couldn’t be sent priorly a written note should be sent on the next day with your child. Failing to do this can cause stay back for your child. Student will be allowed half day only in case of emergency. 75% attendance is a must for an individual to be promoted to the next class.
